NOTE FROM THE GOVERNMENT ABOUT THE PAVLOVIAN QUESTION

His Royal Majesty, Oscar the First, by the Grace of God, King of the Ruthenians; Grand Duke of Escandia, Prince de Thomaz-Rocha, Count of Götzö, and so forth,

in view of recent events in the intermicronational community related to policies of the Empire of Pavlov and of the Republic of Lostisland, His Majesty decides to reveal his personal views about these events, as well as the Ruthenian Government view and future actions.

We intend mainly be as humble as quick to walk in this minefield that is the diplomatic relations of the Empire of Pavlov and the Republic of Lostisland with other micronations. What we want is offer a Ruthenian point of view of the facts, honest and fair with our personal views as a micronation with responsible government and aware of their actions and the respectives consequences.

The Government of the Kingdom of Ruthenia favors all diplomatic relations, regardless of their level of depth and without judging ideologies of any order. We believe it is impossible to establish good diplomatic terms if we bring closer to us, just micronations who think like us. If we decide which political aspects will govern the Ruthenian society, we can not certainly say that we just intervene in another micronation, having or not diplomatic relations with them.

The Government of Ruthenia believes that the intervention in the internal affairs of other micronations makes us likely to suffer the same type of intervention. However, by value the diplomacy, we also understand that protest and confront international policies are a right that must be exercised also for the enrichment of our own doctrines.

However, we noticed some excesses in two protests addressed to Pavlov. Question a doctrine in place can never unravel the purge of a member of intermicronational community. This would curtail the right to micronational activity and this is not, in any way, a democratic attitude. To provide assurances to any micronation, we believe that a single formal manifestation exposing reason is more than enough, and elegant. Micronations can not impose on others. Neither Pavlov’s impose his views to others nor others to Pavlov.

The Empire of Pavlov and the Republic of Lostisland were two of the first micronations who received Ruthenia in micronational community and the King of the Ruthenians will not deny now, there is personal friendship between the three rulers. Added to this, the Emperor and the President are foreign members of the Ruthenian nobility.

Regardless of the friendship of the King with people from Pavlov and Lostisland, we have the greatest appreciation for the Princes of Aigues-Mortes, the Prince of Lorenzburg, the Consul of Surland and others who now, boycott Pavlov and Lostisland. We just can not intervene on behalf of any of the factions. Not by fear, but by not knowing how could Ruthenia turn against their friends supporting any side. Both have, to our eyes, our appreciation, affection and respect, so turn against any faction would be, for us, an unforgivable betrayal.

So permanently, we will be neutral in this matter. We understand that Pavlov is a micronation that pays homage to the Russian Empire, the Slavic culture and Roman Catholic doctrines. We understand that are some micronations and its members may resent the views that Pavlov defends, as it can happen to Pavlovians about the ideas advocated by other micronations as well.

We, the People of Ruthenia, just wish that this dispute ceases through diplomacy and understanding between the differences, not just about sexuality and religion, but also the differences in worldview. Although not always easy to live with differences, is one of the great challenges of micronationalism and of life itself.

We sincerely wish that both parties understand our neutrality and seek peace above all.

We thank you for your attention.
